Performance Evaluation

Performance Evaluation

The most important first step for any athlete considering a performance-training program is to have a full assessment completed by one of our certified Parisi Performance coaches.  

The Parisi coach will have the athlete do a warm-up followed by a series of speed, power, and agility tests during which we record times/measurements and analyze functional movement (i.e. squat form, running form, change of direction technique, jumping/landing efficiency, etc.) throughout the session.   

Afterward, we like to sit with the athlete and their parent(s) to discuss the functional strengths and weaknesses of how they performed and what aspects of his/her athleticism they may need more work on, as well as, how to improve in all areas.  Here is where we can guide the athlete and his/her parents toward recommended classes based on individual needs.

Parisi has been training youth for more than 25+ years and today is considered the Leader in Youth Sports Performance. As a company we have trained nearly 1,000,000+ athletes between the ages of 7-18 years old.

We focus on the goals of the individual athlete to help them achieve their personal aspirations. On the higher level we have trained over 190+ NFL Draft Choices, as well as athletes who went on to compete at the highest levels of their particular sport including the NBA, MLB, NHL, MLS, UFC Fighting, MMA and the Olympics. On the youth level we have been able to help kids achieve the next level in their sport or just be able to compete in gym class.

We have helped hundreds of thousands of high school students prepare to compete at the collegiate levels and continue to train them even while they’re in college. The Parisi Youth Training System is our proprietary performance methodology that has been the foundation and signature of our company from the beginning. Our training protocols are continually updated based on our work with some of the top research doctors in the world on athletic performance.

One of our go to professionals is Dr. Stuart McGill, a professor of spine biomechanics at the University of Waterloo (Waterloo, ON, Canada). His advice is often sought by governments, corporations, legal experts and elite athletes and teams from around the world. Dr. McGill has performed more ground-breaking research than anyone else in the field. He has more than 350 published studies on back pain and enhancing performance and is considered one of those individuals who has revolutionized the fitness industry with regard to how we train the core and create top level athletes. Dr. McGill works closely with us to ensure the best techniques in injury prevention.

Our performance coaches are trained to address the three foundational components of Self-Esteem – Belonging, Competence and Worth. Being part of the Parisi family is where the belonging starts for us, then training them in the mechanics of running and skills in acceleration, deceleration, change of direction, top speed, strength and much more.
